If you are not familiar with my previous 3d print, the 70-ton clan mech, Summoner.

Here is a link:

http://mwomercs.com/...-summoner-mech/

This time, I printed a full color 3D printed Sarah's Jenner.

It stands 2 inches tall and was printed as is, no post print assembly, this is how it came out of the printer. It was printed in full color and was not painted at any point after printing.

Personally, I think the base really adds to the figure. Not only does it depict the scale of the mech, but also tells a bit of a story with the way the VW Bug is swerving out of the way of the mech running past.

I chose to decorate the base with a VW Beetle for a few reaons. It's a timeless automobile, it's a favorite of many people (including me), and they will probably still be on the roads in the 31st century. It is yellow as an homage to a favorite VW of mine, Bumblebee. :P

I am only posting this to share the result for your enjoyment, I am not, and will not sell copies of this under any circumstances.

.....Now, On with the show!......

It's even a better way to memorialize a fallen Mechwarrior, good job with the work.

So if your not selling them... does that mean your giving them away free??? Anyways nicely done, and I definately got to agree on the VW being yellow, ofcourse big Grim is my favourite.

Nice work there.

Since you are not going to sell any, would you consider allowing the file to be made available through PGI/IGP for those who bought a Sarahs mech ?

Could be a nice way to bump the sales of the Sarahs mech for the charity drive.

Just a thought.

Thanks for the comments, I am pretty pleased with the way it turned out. I was actually worried about the two tie-down points under the lower torso flaking off at some point prior to infiltration, they are smaller than the tip of a ball point pen.

For those who have PM'd me as well as asking on this thread, I'll just post it here since it's possible that others may be wondering the same thing.

I did not use any 3D printing service for this (like Shapeways and Thingaverse). I work at a 3D printing company and I just used our printer. The printer we use is a ZPrinter 650, it's one of the only (if not only) full color 3D printer currently on the market.

Looks really awesome! the texture seems nicer than some of the other samples from the full colour prints I've seen.

Is anyone else reminded of the serenity ship from firefly with the jenners head?

Really cool stuff

I wasn't aware 3D printing had evolved to this point, but then again I have been known to live under a rock (sometimes on an island) from time to time. You are the first person to show me first-hand evidence of just what a 3D printer is capable of doing on a commercial level, and I have to say I'm greatly impressed.

You could probably do commissions for MWO players and their mechs for money by exhibiting this as part of a portfolio.

I am indeed looking to get this to the father as a token of our condolences. I believe it would be an awesome keepsake.
